The Privacy Meter

What is the Privacy Meter?

“Privacy Meter” is a new feature included in Silent OS version 3 which runs in the background transparently to the user, and monitors continuously your Blackphone’s configuration and status with regards to its Privacy and Security. You will be notified about any aspect which may be compromising the security and privacy of your Blackphone's data. The Privacy Meter includes notifications about potential risks in the cellular network modem (also known as baseband), such as whether the device could be connected to a fake tower or to a network with weak encryption.
In your Security Center home page you will see a section on top, called, precisely, Privacy Meter, with a chart that shows the number and kind of alerts you have.

Tapping on the chart will lead you to a more detailed list with those alerts. If you tap on one Task, you will be taken to the actual Device configuration screen where this task can be completed. For example, by clicking in the “Remote Wipe is Not provisioned task” will take you to the actual screen where Remote Wipe is configured.
